The enterprise LMS built for universities that can't afford a 9 AM exam-day outage.
Cognaxa is the LMS for Tier-1 universities and multi-campus systems running tens of thousands of enrolled learners under FERPA, GDPR, and SOC 2 scrutiny. Database-level tenant isolation, native proctoring, and a migration path off Canvas, Blackboard, and Moodle that finishes in days — not semesters.
Four things that go wrong with university LMS deployments — and how Cognaxa fixes each.
Semester exam-day load
Tens of thousands of students hitting one LMS in a 30-minute window. Most platforms hide a shared connection pool behind that traffic — the first 503 cascades into a four-hour incident.
Cognaxa enforces tenant isolation at the database layer and runs its proctoring engine as a first-class subsystem — one SLA, one on-call, one vendor on the line.
FERPA + multi-campus data residency
Multi-campus institutions need clear data-handling boundaries, EU/APAC residency on demand, and a paper trail for audit committees.
GDPR DPA with EU SCCs ships by default. EU and APAC residency available on Enterprise. FERPA-aligned data handling addendum included.
Migration off Canvas / Blackboard / Moodle
Course structure, rosters, and grade history all need to land intact. Most migrations fail not at the import step but at the post-migration verification — students see the wrong grades and trust evaporates.

Auditor sign-off on tenant isolation
When the SOC 2 auditor asks to see your multi-tenancy boundaries, "we have a WHERE clause in the ORM" is not the answer they want.
Cognaxa enforces row-level isolation at the PostgreSQL query planner. Auditors get the policy file, not a verbal assurance.
Procurement-ready, day one.

Questions university CIOs ask first.
Can Cognaxa handle our peak exam window?
Yes. Cognaxa is engineered for institutions running 4,000+ concurrent proctored sessions during finals. Server-synced exam timers prevent clock tampering; the proctoring engine is a first-class subsystem (not a third-party iframe).
What about LTI / SCORM / SIS sync?
Our REST API and tenant-scoped bearer tokens are GA today and cover roster, course, and grade sync. SAML 2.0, OIDC, SCORM 1.2/2004, LTI 1.3 Advantage, and QTI 2.1 are on the Enterprise roadmap — see /integrations for live status.
Will my faculty have to retrain?
The course builder, quiz engine, and gradebook are familiar to anyone who has used Canvas, Blackboard, or D2L. Faculty onboarding is typically a single 90-minute working session, plus written runbooks per role.
Do you have university references?
Yes. Under NDA we will introduce you to a reference customer with a comparable enrollment profile. See our Westbridge University case study for a public reference.
Bring us your hardest exam-day question.
A 45-minute working session with a Genfinish engineer — not a BDR call. We answer architecture, security, and migration questions live and send a written follow-up the same day.
